The Cranleigh School Swimming Academy is based at Cranleigh School’s indoor 25-metre pool and runs on Saturday mornings during term time and various evenings throughout the week.
We accommodate all abilities from the age of 3 years upwards in our heated indoor 25m swimming pool. Following the ASA national plan, our class sizes are kept to a maximum of 7 children in a lesson, with stages 1 to 4 being taught with the teacher, plus an assistant, both in the water. Lessons are 30 minutes and depending on the swimmer’s ability will be between 8.30am – 12.45pm on Saturday mornings. We also run lessons on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.
All lessons are taught by confident and enthusiastic ASA & STA instructors, who collectively have many years experience in all aspects of teaching and coaching swimming. Throughout the year we run special events including National Drowning Prevention Week, Pyjamas Week and award weeks. These award sessions at the end of the term allow the children to achieve a variety of badges and certificates including distance badges, Water Skills awards, ASA Stages or Challenges.
If you would like to sign your child up, we start by offering a free trial lesson allowing us to assess their ability and ensuring they are assigned to the appropriate class. 1-2-1 lessons and special water confidence classes can also be arranged, as we understand some children may be particularly nervous.
